The project consists of the addition of 3 basement floors and 2 stories to an existing historical building dating back to the ottoman era, initially built with 2 upper floors and 1 basement. A meticulous strengthening and consolidation of walls and slabs was conducted to protect the structure’s stability and consistency while preserving the architecture and style of the building which comprised of sandy stones.
The scope of work includes excavation and backfilling, waterproofing, steel works, concrete works (footings, walls and columns, slabs, stairs, transfer slab…), demolition of existing walls and slabs, dismantling of stairs, walls strengthening and jacketing.
